Interesting.   I tuned in this afternoon, and oddly enough, Adele or Eddie Vedder or Mumford & Sons wasn't playing so I stuck around.   I did hear more Classic songs today.     I certainly understand why so many stations play Classic Rock, better songs for one. 

 "Marty Riemer, who returned last year after a year long exodus remains but will voice track his show from his home studio".  Don't know what "voice track" is or if he was doing it today, but I don't suppose it makes much difference if you're home or at KMTT unless you're doing the Lounge, which I hope they keep.

In my limted FM radio listening, I've been listening to Click 98.9's young pop songs and its robo woman DJ and less commercials more than any other station.

Yeah, looks like KINK has more new and varied music.  Same web page format.  Looking at KINK's play list - Ryan Adams, two Foster The People songs, Alabama Shakes, 311 , Florence And The Machine, all within an hour.   About the only new songs KMTT plays are either by Green Day or Coldplay, and that's about it, even at 3am.    KMTT songs are songs that KMTT played when they first came out,,,  15 to 20 years ago.   I see they've mixed it up a little recently, adding three or four Journey songs, yup.  Maybe KMTT just figures there aren't any new music worthy, not too far fetched.    Listened to the AAA station in Houston a couple weeks ago, also 103.7, and they were way more adventurous than KMTT,, not saying much.

Last week, some writer in the Weekly or Stranger, wrote about the current wave of nostalgia, including looking up old friends on Facebook, etc, and wrote, "even KMTT is wrapped up in nostalgia.  You can't tell it from Jack FM."   Jack FM seems to lean a little more to artists that emerged in the 80s, KMTT the 70s.

I like someone's post at the Stranger, "Most of what the gray ponytails at KMTT play on a daily basis just bores me to tears. It just never changes. I used to love "The Mountain" but every afternoon when "What I Am" (by Mrs. Paul Simon) starts I just want to scream. And that is only one song of many. I've recently stopped listening."

Besides KEXP, I tune into 98.9 The Click once in awhile for some decent new "modern" music.
